Im insulted.......

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Im insulted.......

i came across this while searching for so game development resources.
http://www.ambrosine.com/resource.html

scroll down a bit and read the names of game creators under the Engines/Authorware for Non-Programmers section.

Anyone else insulted?

Nope - what have I missed?

EDIT:

Oh, you mean it says 'Non Programmers'

BlitzBasic is listed as a Engines/Authorware for Non-Programmers.

Blitz is easy to learn.

BlitzBasic is listed as a Engines/Authorware for Non-Programmers.
So?

Technically, it is true that it was for non-programmers though. Bare in mind that this is an old list.

What they mean is people with no programming experience can use it - not that it is a 'non-programming' (point and click, etc) language.

If you look at all the other links they are all to programs tht require no programming.....with the execption of Dark Basic. What im gettin at is they are sayin blitz isnt a programming language.

[Edit] Oh.....guess i read it wrong. lol [/Edit]

No, they are saying you don't need to be a programmer to use it.

Even if they did, why are you bothered?

There's more than that as exceptions: Amos & Stos too leaving the only major basic missing to be Pure Basic and Visual Basic.

Play Basic is in there too so whilst the list covers old stuff there's new stuff in there too.

Also there's some C++ libraries, and you dont get any more technical than that in terms of awkward (sorry "complex") to use.

ok, i had only just spotted dark basic.

Still, I'm glad you thought they meant Blitz Basic was a non programming language as I am now nosing through the list and some of it brings back memories - some of them I have never heard of.

lol....yeah that Text-World program looks cool...not that i would even consider using it to make a text based game.

good page o' links there though.

this ones pretty funny...

Art-O-Matic -- instant 3D graphics

and this one... anyone find the download? lol

Nautilus Engine -- create a retail quality game by writing less than 100 lines of C (Win and Visual C++)

Yeah, I like the Art-o-matic feature, "Set any image on fire" - 'cause that's what's really important! :D

That list could turn out very useful one day.

*bookmarks page*

They describe Blitz as 'Legendary' - hardly insulting!
