Windows program to burn files?

Does anyone know of a windows program to burn files to a CD-R?

nero

www.ahead.de for Nero

I believe Windows XP has its own CD burner built in to it, but I have never used it.

in WinXP you should be able to simply drag and drop the files onto the disk (make sure you do as many as you can at once since it will consume more disk space if you do multiple burns).

Yeh but that applies to any burning software. You realise of course when it comes time to add more files to a CD you don't have to burn ALL the files that were previously on it? You only have to burn the new files... the extra space taken up is just the table listing the session details.

But, yeh, Nero. Don't get the express version.

Nero rules...

Or if you don't need any bells and whistles and just want to burn a bunch of files on occasion, you can simply drag & drop to your CD-drive under my computer using Windows XP, and it will give you an option to burn them.

I would use Nero!!! 5+

at the mo i just use send to CDR
then again im just looking for a quick back up of festival pix to send to someone @ work to have a gander at
so whistles and bells not needed

If you're keen for something better than the built-in XP stuff, and don't wanna spend the money to get Nero, then the perfectly-good freeware CDBurnerXP will do the job nicely for you.

DeepBurner, it's free

This is a two year old thread, was there really any need to dig it up? I'm pretty sure he figured it out already :)

C'mon Pert, you never looked through the old threads and almost hit "reply"? ;-)

Not that I can recall.

Oops.

I blame Maximo The Necro.

I'll now go remind myself of the "No Personal Attacks" part of the site rules.

Still, CDBurnerXP is nice. ;o)
