Please test

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Please test

I originally posted about this problem I was having with very wide images in another forum but I figure more people will see it here. :)

I would be most grateful if folks could download this exe test program (~1.5MB) and report the following:
1 - You can actually see the "Hello" text, uncorrupted.
2 - The values shown for millisecs, FPS and VRAM used.
3 - Your graphics card specs, including onboard VRAM size.

I'm particularly interested in what people with on-board GFX and laptop users get.

Thanks in advance!

1. Yes
2. 0-1ms, 60-61fps, 11118kb used
3. FX5200 (64mb I think)

So far, so good. Thanks Becky.

1. Yes, all three copies.
2. 0-1 ms, 63-64 FPS, 11118K
3. GeForce 2 MX with 64 megs (system at work)

Great. Thanks Wendell.

Keep 'em coming, people! ;)

cannot set graphics mode

was it 32-bit?

Intel gfx card

Slenkar: yes, it's in 32bit mode to test "worst case" settings. The app this test is for will work fine in 16bit mode, though.

Thanks for testing, anyway. :)

I'll do it later, gotta dash now.

1) Yes all 3
2) 0-1MS
3) 11086 used

Radeon 9800XT 256MB VRAM

I'll test it on my laptop with crappy onboard later if I remember.

Thanks, Grey.

3 - RADEON X850 XT 256MB VRAM

Excellent. Thanks everybody! ;)

[edit]
DampeS8N: I guess the on-board GFX on that PC uses shared memory, yes? That would explain the reduced performance. At least it works, though. :)

1 - Yes
2 - 0-1 ms, 63 FPS, 11118KB
3 - Radeon 9600 PRo

As a side note, when trying to launch your application directly through my webbrowser (run instead of save and then run), it errors out with a ".BCA ArchiveFile not Found!"-error.

GeForce 6800GT 256mb ram

I'm using Blitz Media Linker to pack media into the exe - there must be a problem with this when running directly from the browser. That's something I never do, personally, so didn't notice this. It shouldn't be a problem with the final app this test is for as that will have to be downloaded and installed. :)

Works for me this time :-)

Time: 0~1
FPS: 58~60
VidMem: 11118 kB
