animated srpites and shadow in 2D :(

i have an animated sprite that walks but i dont know how to take the shadow off, between his legs, can somebody tell me how to do this?

This will probably be a part of the picture... simply erase it out of your sprite via Paintshop Pro or whatever program you use for such stuff...
