Hi,
Just a few odd screenie's from the development of SS Great Britain for those who are interested (see gallery for more details). Different stages of development, but what I am trying to show here is the water effect.
First ocean tests.

Shadow demo with ocean.

Early ship and ocean.

Early ship with ocean and now land mass (early version)

Almost final version of ship viewed from high off port side for ocean effect to be seen properly.

Shots from the final simulation - although not from the correct camera view - again just for the sake of getting a slightly better full view.

View the screenies in order to get a feel for how this developed over the months.
I want to say a few thanks...
I should say Shawn Swifts shadow system looks fantastic in this and adds a massive leap in realism on viewing with and without. Nigel Brown - thanks dude! His help on the serial port code made life much easier (actaully possible would be more to the truth). Barliesque whose flares worked a treat even under great cpu pressure). Mousey for his support and encouragement as always. John Blackledge for his thoughts and encouragement during the development of this project. Particle Candy worked a treat too - thanks Mike!
As with all things code of this nature, there were a number of significant challenges with this project, but we got over most of them and the overall final effect of the sim is very nice - well I am proud of it anyway.
