Fortnightly Blitz Art Compo #3

rules
- All entries must be created after the compo start date.
- Only 1 entry per user.
- Judges decision is final.
- Winner becomes judge and chooses compeittion type for next fortnight.
- Competition will last 2 weeks from starting date.
- All entries must be submitted before the deadline.
- Judge can't submit entry into own competition.

Seeing as tho starwars ep3 has started and all that, this fortnights compo is to create a 3d model for fun. The theme must be anything from the starwars universe. This can be a character/ object / scene. Anything.

ok, that is weird, my log shows it has been accessed at least once every hour since I posted it.

Probably just NTL (my isp) cocking up then.

ahh well.... now, what else can we talk about to bump this thread and get other people to post something?

I modelled it based on one of the ones my flatmate has (he paid about £700 for a signed darth maul one).

I've not entered any of these as none of the subject matter has been interesting to me. I think the subject matter needs to be more general, star wars quite frankly has been done to darth. (ahem!)

I personally feel that making even semi-decent 3D models takes too long. I might take part in these compos if they were for 2D art.

The first one was a 2d compo. And 2 weeks is more than enough to come up with a 3d model. Was the main reason the compo length changed from 1 to 2 weeks.

you could make a quality lightsaber in a leisurely evening surely. Anything more than two weeks would result in some boredom through a dying topic. maybe.

Yeah, but a leisure evening is something I only rarely have. :(

I think a longer deadline would have been nice.

Hmm tough choice. One is better modelled then the other, but the other is more original. So difficult to decide Hmmmmmmmm. I think it has to bilamu for creating a vadar with the biggest egg head I have seen.. lol congrats.
