Installation help.

Can someone give me the procedure for installing BMax on PC.

I have expanded the file with stuffit but when I compile I get the error

C:/BlitzMax/mod/pub.mod/glew.mod/glew.d.a: could not read symbols: Archive has no index; run ranlib to add one

ranlib...come again?

There is probably a little guide for this somewhere but I can't find it ^^

ok, Is this Mac, Win32 or linux?

If its Mac you need XCode developer tools installed before blitzmax can run.

If its Win32 you need MinGW installed and you also need to add it to your environment variables.

Also if possible delete everything in your mod folder and run syncmods. The build the modules and see if that helps.

I got the download and did not need to compile anything.

The installer did everything and ran fine on my AMD 1Ghz Athlon with WinXP

Thats odd shambler.... try deleting glew and re-sync your mods?
