Gold IMHO means a finished game. And that is always cause for celebration :)

Yes, Gold means the game is done and ready for sale! Good job by the way on completion of a project.

Actually Gold means ready for Gold mastering or CD printing, I wouldnt belittle his release, I was just curious how it was being released.

Everyone says gold now when a game is done, get with the times ... it doesn't have to be a gold CD master, it's just a term for finished game even though the gold is usually the CD's you send off to the publisher or for replication.

"Get with the times" - Sorry, thats the term we use at work, and I was just questioning if he was just relasing the game as a CD or DL.
