Miscellaneous Forums/Blitz Showcase/Got Published YAY!

http://www.alawar.com/games/tweakietweak/

Me and Remy Gross (Yemr) got our game published by Alawar.

Wohoo!

Well done!

Good ennit! Although it does kinda leave you with a urrrm feeling afterwards.

Cool :) let us know how you are getting on with the publisher, we should make a website or a sticky thread that lists all the publishers that take on blitz games and are honest

Congratulations.

Hi Folks,

Well done.

Later,

Jes

Nice one :)

Congrats Big Time... i know it feels gooooood :)

yeah, i second the idea of having a published developer thread so we can all gain a lil insight on what goes on, and what we can do to make our proposals a lil more publisher friendly.

Looks good. I'm about to try it.

In the meantime, you should ask about their grammar, i.e. "handful".

Play through a massive 80 levels of action and a hand full of bonus levels.

"Yeah, I made it through the first two fingers, but man, those thumb levels were HARD..."

<edit>
It's pengo! pretty fun, though I found a bug right away. If you pause it in the tutorial mode, the timer still runs and when you unpause it the ghost immediately appears and gets you

Yeah it Pengo... not seen a recent remake of that game so decided to do that.

Thanks for the bug... I'll fix right away.

I get:-

Error connecting to database.
Please try again.

Congrats :)

Enay, that meens u have won a special prize!

Nice one guys! Good luck with sales!
Hey it would be cool to know how well it sells - encourage us all to finish our masterpieces!

IPete2.

Enay - i have no idea what thats about, can you run the game at all?

Nice one!

Good job u two!

hey coffeedotbean

I get:
Runtime Error "5"
invalid procedure call or argument

<Win98SE> <PIII 866> <G3-Ti200> <512Mb ram>

Congrats to you both! :-)

You might need to download the VB6 runtimes only 98 systems need to do this I think.

http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp5/WIN98Me/EN-US/vbrun60sp5.exe

We needed to make a lanucher in VB6 cus the .dll we needed to use for protection would not return correct values in blitz?

download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp5/WIN98Me/EN-US/vbrun60sp5.exe

hmmm, I already have that runtime library installed, re-installing didn't make any difference... still the same error message...

Hum must be a problem running VB6 .exe's on win98/SE.

I'm gonna use Purebasic instead... should fix the problem.

On another note the games been online for 5 days and has got over 5000 downloads... cant give sales figures though.

maybe you could post, or let me know, if you do a fix?

love to have a look :)

If you can email me some info I would like to try and solve this problem for you in Blitz.

I can fuse the DLL to your VB6 executable if that's of any use to you?

Skidracer - I sent you an email.

Daze - I dont think that will help as ppl with the runtimes installed still get errors.

Coffeedotbean, I looked at your game in XP, very nice.

Thanks,

Ah so it does look like a Win98 issue. :)

Congratulations ^^

You're an inspiration to us all!!

Well done Coffee :)

So, when's the next game due for beta testing? ;)

Thanks peeps.

Maybe our Kiwi game http://www.blitzbasic.com/Community/posts.php?topic=34993 or another we have in mind thats kinds like Bubble bobble (featuring Tweakie & Tweak).

Congrats :cD

well done . must feel good

sales aint been too good... but it only been 1 week.

How many sales ?

Good job Coffee.. :)

Let us know how things work out. I recently posted a thread about publishers, and where they all went.

If this is a good one, the whole community can benefit from your success :)

well the game didn't do to good in its first week so its dissapeared from the main page.. so i doubt it will ge may more sales.
