text to speech problems

I need to add text to speech to applications; I tried a free library tool for blitz basic, and it does not work on my system (other applications work with MS text to speech); I think it is possible to create a dll working whit MS Speech API, but I need help with this level of programing
I think adding text to speech (or text recognition) abilities to BB would be a great enhancement

Hmmm. Is there a speech to text func? Is there a way to use Microsoft Office's Speech Recgonition and have it return a string???
