Choosing colours

Hello, I've created some 'objects' which need to be coloured. I'm currently just using trial and error.

What I'd like to know is is there a collection of say around 500 colours which look good together.

e.g. A set of colours with a metallic feel.

I don't know exactly what you mean. Maybe you could create a simple little tool that would load a picture, a photo for example of an object that has the colors you like. You could then use the mouse to pick any color from that image.

you want a colour scheme don't you? well you should look at paint sites like dulux for inspiration on schemes.
