How widely supported is x2 blending?

Blitz3D Forums/Blitz3D Programming/How widely supported is x2 blending?

Just fixed up my bowling alleys so that they're ready-ish for a final render, and I was contemplating download the latest version of Gile[s] so that I can use x2 blended lightmaps, but I'm not sure how widely supported they are. I suppose if I'm going for a CD-only game I could include lightmaps for both, but I still may want to make a download-only version for broadband users and I'm not sure how well-supported x2 blending is. What kind of cards can't do it?

everything supports it

I think almost all cards support it right?

I mean the technology has been around since Quake 3 (maybe 2?) and a lot of people, myself included had VooDoo cards back then.

I think it's been around since dx6...

Hmm.. I was concerned mainly with onboard chipsets like Intel and Sis. No problems with those?

nope

Excellent. Thanks a lot.
