Yeah, looking pretty good!

Just a few suggestions though. The eyes would look much, much more realistic if you modelled an eye socket into the mesh and used a seperate scaled sphere for the eyes. Right now the eyes look kind of like weird goggles, and he's got no eyelids or anything.

I also think that the nose looks a little odd, try widening the mid-part of the node to him more of a 'bridge' and scale down the lower part of the node, as it looks far too wide.

What are you modelling this in?

Damn it, had my pants down and everything... oh well time to put the cap back on the KY. :(.

rofl

Made it in milkshape. What did ya mean about the eyesocket(The eye is actually a sphere in the pic)? First try at making a head.

If wanting head is wrong, I don't want to be right. ;)

Hehe

Hehe

I want head! now dammit!

Good job for a first try. The thing that is strikingly wrong, is that your eyes are too far apart. Apart from that defect, its all reasonably well put together!

wow nice head but wheres the head u promised

lol, none for you.

Hey, did a quick paintover to show you how I thought it should look:

Hope you don't mind, and I hope it illustrates what I think is wrong clearly enough. I'm not the best with anatomy, by the way.

See tutorials section for a head tutorial.

Yeah but it doesnt look very good. :) And doesnt apply to milkshape users.

the eyes are in the middle of the head, like so, not too high up.

Thanks guys, I'll think about all this and re-assess.

dev. simple fact is you need a good photo to work from.
Before you put any detail in there, block out the main shapes, real low poly.
I can't stress enough how good reference will improve your work
