It seemed pretty fast, but you didn't really do much "stress testing" .. perhaps add some demos that you know will slow down on peoples pc's.. just to show how far it can go, and at what rate.

Also some small texts explaining what each of those demos is representing in your particle code would be good.
For example, the steam+pipe demo.. were those steam particles reacting to the pipe, and flowing around it.. ? it was hard to see.
