Fontaroonie!

Hello, All

I was wondering if instead of using the fonts that comes with varias operating systems. Is it possible for me to make my own font, like an image font where you would use an image divided up into square that you could use from memory to replace existing text. If you get confused by my rambles be sure to let me know... :]
